The Basic Skills Learn to Skate Program is used worldwide with accepted standards and has been developed for those who skate for recreation and enjoyment. Group Lessons are offered continuously throughout the year, allowing the skater to develop the fundmentals required to continue into our Figure Skating Program or into our Ice Hockey Program. If you are looking for more than just group lessons, WSA also offers private lessons taught by our Professional Staff. |
Saturdays, starting September 13 @ 11:45am
Sundays, starting September 14 @ 10:45am
1/2 hour lesson and 1/2 hour practice session

Registration is on a first come first serve basis
Minimum of 3 students per class
Maximum of 16 students per class
7 week program
1/2 hour group lesson
1/2 hour practice session (12:30-1pm)
Public session following the lessons
Skate Rentals
Snowplow Sam through Adult $140 per student (includes USFSA membership fee)

ADDITIONAL COACHES WILL BE ADDED TO GROUPS EXCEEDING 2 STUDENTS. CLASSES MUST MEET THE MINIMUM ENROLLMENT IN ORDER FOR THE LEVEL TO BE OFFERED. |

Ages 3-4 with Adult
Parents assist their toddler in learning basic skills to acquire confidence on the ice
Basic Skills 1-8
Ages 7 and up
Students begin learning basic skills in an
appropriate age group. As they pass each
level, the skills will become more advanced.
Students must fulfill the requirements of the
USFSA Basic Skills Program in order to pass
to the next level.
Hockey
Students learn to perfect their skating in
order to learn the skills needed to play
hockey. |
Snow Plow Sam
Ages 4-7
Basic Beginner Skills for first timers
Freestyle
Students will learn advanced moves, jumps,
and footwork based on previous skills. All
basic skill levels must be passed in order to
join the freestyle levels.
Adult
Adults learn skills based on a series of moves
and footwork in an age appropriate group. |
