Professional golfer Tiger Woods has failed to win any major titles within the past four years and this phase is being seen by many as the return of the golf pro. If Tiger manages to clinch the cup at the Open Championship then he could very well be on track to returning to the number one spot.
Tiger Woods was interviewed after practice at the Royal Lytham & St. Annes and the golfer was quoted, “I do not take too much pressure. I just put myself at the position and I think that if I continue to do this for some time, I may well be on course of recovery.”
Tiger Woods has however failed to be back at the number one spot, after attempting twice this year. He was placed tied at 40 at the Masters and had to be satisfied with the 21st spot at the US Open.
However, Tiger Woods has won three PGA tours this year to leap ahead of the current world number one, Luke Donald. This happened only because Donald was not qualified for participation.
If Woods manage to win the upcoming title, then he will win his fourth Open championship title hence bringing the total tally to 15. The Open is said to begin on Thursday and this is one of the most challenging venue for Tiger as he has not won here on the two previous attempts.
When asked about wanting to get back to the number one spot again, Tiger was quoted as saying “I have to go back to being healthy again. Being tied up and losing out on a couple of major championships has definitely taken a toll on my performance and rankings and it takes quite some time climbing back up again.” Tiger Woods made golf a major attraction and hence online games were created to entertain people.
